the most reliable and convenient gif maker for Mac , very powerful and delightful with a lot of features and options that let me illustrate my work with a very funny way and deliver the idea like a spark , a lot of features and options start from the compression rate and frames till the instant share to the most popular cloud services , this version has a killing feature which is underrated which is the trim feature for the gif , it is brilliant and highly customizable . stunning application seriously , I did not realize how often I will use it until I get it since release and since this day I fall in love with it , do not take my words for granted . try it once and you will see .

Please don't rate apps you haven't even tried half a star. It's not fair to the developer and limits the usefulness of MacUpdate.

"Ian, you guys should sell Gifox direct through MacUpdate, so it's not a MAS-only sale. A lot of pro Mac users hate the MAS. :)"

What we REALLY hate is that Macupdate is wrapping apps in its own installer that tries to install crapware on users computer.

I second that!
We detest the MacUpdate Installer even more than the MAS !

Pretty cool. Clean interface, easy to use. Quality of animated gifs are great. The only thing I'd like to see (more than sharing integrations) is compression. The file sizes are too large to use on websites like MacUpdate that get a lot of traffic.

Hey Joel, Ian here – one of creators. Well noticed, compression might be an issue sometimes. There are solid plans on improving this and adding compression-related options. At the moment you can reduce record fps and increase playback fps in preferences – this will drop some frames and reduce file size, also will speed up the produced gifs, so they don't look too slow.
