Compare & Sync Folders has been developed with a dual purpose in mind: to be easy-to-use for beginners, but also provide the ability to fine-tune synchronization settings for the most exacting professionals. The app can synchronize multiple pairs of folders at the same time. Using a powerful preview mode, you can view the changes before sync, and change the operation with files, if required. The app also provides robust tools to filter your files and folder so that you sync exactly what you want. Do you have terabytes (TB) of data to sync? No problem! Compare & Sync Folders has been specifically optimized to work with extremely large files and data sources, reliably and efficiently. Compare & Sync Folders is perfect for backups to all media destinations: USB, memory cards, disks on remote computers within your network, and folders on Cloud services (Dropbox, etc.). Compare & Sync Folders is the real and only bidirectional synchronization app that you will ever need! Install VPN Server Configurator, and you can synchronize folders on a remote Mac from anywhere in the world! Install Sync Folders Pro, and you can synchronize folders "on-the-fly" using our real-time sync technology or by schedule!

For Beginners:

Select two folders to synchronize.
Click "Sync" button.

For the Most Exacting Professionals:

Sync multiple pairs of folders in same time.
Synchronize of Macs across a network. Login information for network folders is retained so they can be automatically mounted the next synchronization.
Synchronize external drives (USB, memory cards, etc.) with your Mac, and vice versa.

Minor differences in folder modification time stamps may be ignored or honored. See "Allowable deviation of File Modification Date [sec.]".
Saving the deleted files in a specific location ("Folder for deleted files"). Using this mode you are protected against accidental deletion of files, and can always return all files even after re-synchronizing several times. The structure of folders and subfolders is retained in the "Folder for deleted files".
Each pairs of folders shows when synchronization was done the last time.
The synchronization process is logged.
Save / Load the program settings to a file.

This is an excellent app that I have been using for about a year without problems. For now I've only made a basic use of it like syncing a very large workbook with the OneDrive folder. This app allows you to check what and how it will change before syncing. In fact, among the most important sustainable configurations, there is also the possibility that the difference between the folders is also shown. My MacBook air has very little hard drive space and my goal is to update all my files on network drives and delete them from my MacBook. The sync function helps a lot in this case along with the ability to selectively backup / sync folders / files over the network. I am very satisfied.

This app is working fine at home managing my project to share via a cloud storage all the photos of my family since 1920. Up to now the pictures and some movie are about 56.000 splitted in directories by year and subdirectories for each particular occassions of married, trips, vacations or other events. All my family components in the world can have access to this big and huge photos virtual container. Every day the number of photo grows, I am working on a IMAC with Catalina on a local folder and later on the app syncronize the cloud folder in a very short time and without error, compared with other sync programm I tested. Thanks to Compare & Sync Folders app developer I am working fast and secure to store in a safe way my project.

This application is incredibly fast and extremely easy to use. As a newbie, I just had to select the two folders that I wanted to sync, I clicked the sync button and within seconds I had an identical replica of my files. It is extremely reliable and very cheap. I recommend it for its ease of use and efficiency.

Finally a folder compare tool that when you copy the files over in the program you don't lose your original time stamp! This is a huge benefit and multiple others I tested messed this up and they cost a lot more too. I love the flexibiitly of the tool and how quickly I can update things - the only thing I wish it had was a sub-folder level compare where you could quickly copy the entire sub folder over if needed so maybe in an update

I messed up folders that I really needed for work. Too mnay copies everywhere. Ran Compare & Sync after buying it for a reasonable price and compared whatever was on the folders. Straightened out the sub-folders, and ran it again until I had each folder replicated in the different areas. It probably would have taken me a week without it. Great app.

I’ve been looking for an app which will not just SYNC but also show me the differences found between folders. My MacBook has very little hard drive space and my goal is to update all my files on my network drives and deleted from my MacBook. SYNC doesn’t work well in this case. This app does it well and allows me to selectively backup/sync my folders/files to my network drive.

Very easy-to-use App. It is a useful tool to manage data and keep them aligned when you need to manually keep separate records and duplicate them.

Fantastico software para sincronizar las carpetas de trabajo de un equipo después de trabajar durante el fin de semana cada uno por separado. Lo hace rápido, fácil y viendo qué es lo que va a cambiar. Imprescindible si quieres sincronizar sin errores. ¡Muy fácil de comprender!

I was able to use this app to compare two folders on a Synology NAS. One was 115GB the other was 120GB. It performed as advertised. I also used it to compare and sync other local files in an effort to clean out duplicate folders without the fear of loosing data. It works well in an "out-of-the-box" setting and has a lot of advanced features I have yet to use. I found it very useful.

Just finished using the Compare and Sync to change OS from Windows to Mac. I was able to transfer files from Windows to Mac and compare back again with total security. This was important to me as one of my operations was transferring 705 GB of 24 MP photos migrating them to a different disk. It took less than 3 hours to transfer the 705 GB, same time as a simple transfer with the Mac, not any more, BUT I was able to compare afterwards to make sure all was okay. I also saved the painful exercise of backing up under another program before transferring which I would have done without using this program. It only took 15 minutes to compare all the files of the 705 GB originally transferred. On another note I transferred over 1700 files to a flash card being used as a USB drive in under 6 minutes. Good enough for me. Comes recommended.

I love using Compare & Sync with my Apple Clients. One of the digital agencies I service, uses a Font Folder on the Server, with all the “approved” fonts to be used by the various artists and designers. Instead of having each designer log in and find the approved ones, I use C&SF to create a local folder version of the Server Folder. When the server get’s updated with a new font, it automatically compares the local folder against the server, and boom. Synced. No hassel. They use a similar setup for “Current Approved Versions” of documentation. The moment a new version replaces an older one, all the users get the update in their local folders. Pretty awesome!

This other GreenWorldSoft App is very useful to backup documents. Save your Job works and keep your old files to feedback onto external device. Save your Personal data to another device. GoodBye rsync.... Great App for all the days.

Great App. I used the free Sync Folders for about two years without any issues. I just used it for basic operations: syncing a very large work folder to OneDrive folder at work, and then from OneDrive to the work folder in my home computer). When I changed to Mega as my cloud storage, a timestamp issue started to mess up with my files (was using <=>). It was great when Compare and Sync Folders came about, because with it you can check what (and how) is going to be changed before syncing. I bought all its features, and now use different sync modes for different folders syncing to different cloud storages. Important note: whenever I had a doubt, the developer responded very promptly.
