Manage YouTube playlists, search with filter, and watch in a separate window.

Overview

TubeG Pro lets you manage playlists and channel items, search with autocomplete and advanced filter options, and watch on top of apps (does not include YouTube download). Watching a playlist has never been easier: just click on a video in the playlist and enjoy browser-free watching! You can also single-click when using our Web-browser extensions to watch in separate window or you can drag-and-drop the YouTube link.

Do you want to watch your favorite videos in a separate window and adjust its size? Now it's possible. A browser window is too big; when you want to do something else you have to change its size, hide the toolbars, etc. Now you can easily search and watch your favorite clips.

One of my most used apps. This app has become integral to the way I watch YouTube. I have it set up to display at the lower right corner and float atop apps. It plays all videos with no ads, gives you the option to set video quality and will automatically defer to that setting if available. Additionally, you can sign in and have access to your subs and playlists. It even remembers at what point you stopped watching a video and going back to it, even after days, will start you off where you left. It's so close to being perfect but a few things ding its score. It has the occasional bug with the search bar not displaying properly or getting irrelevant search results (really random). There's no option to skip forward or backward through a playlist, forcing you to either watch through the whole video to get to the next or manually move the cursor towards the end. Clicking on a channel to which you are not subscribed is a mess because there's no option to sort the videos (newest-oldest...), so your results yield a video uploaded yesterday followed by one uploaded months or years ago followed again by one uploaded last week. The dev is great though. Responds fast and courteously to all emails and is very communicative. I have really high hopes of this app getting even better. I just wish there was a way to toggle on and off comments.

I really would like to try this but the demo keeps quitting "unexpectedly" at startup.

I would like to try it too. But the link on their site to the MAS doesn't work… 'not available in your area or region'.

Have emailed the developer a couple of times; but had no reply.

It does indeed look like a good piece of software. But if their lack of support is anything to go by (half a dozen emails from different addresses asking for their comments on the adverse reviews here; and the fact that it is NOT available on the MAS as they say), I'd not really want to risk it.

They may well have ceased trading, it looks. A pity

It actually is possible to skip forward or backward in a playlist by right-clicking or two-finger tapping to open up a contextual menu. My natural instinct is to click the forward or backward button that auto appear when you hover over the video (depending on skin chosen).
