Mail Satellite

anyone know of a replacement? all i need is notification in the menu bar (ie, a number), with a pop account... :(

Any idea how 1.9.23 differs from 1.9.22?

Well: "Note: Mail Satellite is no longer under development, and it is no longer available for sale." But if you want a functional version (and I've got zero idea if this is kosher), email me at eqjoneswholivesatverizondotnet and I"ll send you a copy of v 1.9.22 which I d/l'ed days before MS went belly up and which works, apparently with at cost.

Mail Mini's documentation says that its full functionality doesn't work with POP, that it only notifies you of unread new email, which is all I want.

Try d/l'ing a new copy of Mail Satellite. I d/l'ed it only about a week ago, and as I posted on its MacUpdate page, I can't find any way to pay for it. It's apparently been turned to freeware.

Bought a new MacBook Pro and have been trying to validate my licence code for two weeks with no luck. The dev's website appears to have disappeared, and email bounces back. Is this app now dead? I hope not, as it is indispensable.

Nice app from a very responsive developer! I use this all day to keep up with incoming mail and keep my inbox from filling up. It's the best of it's kind and the only app out there that really works!

Developer got rid of the nag screen upon request!

good software, works fine with mac OS 10.13. Author listens to its users.

Very useful menu bar app that displays the number of unread mail messages and lets you read them and trash them as well. But...recent updates add a nag screen that pops up almost every day asking you to review the app — with no way to turn it off or declare that you've already reviewed it. Increasingly annoying!

I've been a happy customer for years, but after I did a clean install of macOS High Sierra and downloaded a new copy of Mail Satellite, it won't work. When I open the app the process starts and is visible in the Activity Monitor, but the icon never appears on the menu bar.

Works well, worth the money as all others like MailBar don't work anymore and this is still being maintained. Developer answered my questions very quickly and even added a feature (Mark All Read, Hide All) and said he'll add another feature I requested (Show All incl. already-read). Occasionally can't display a message. Not quite as pretty an interface as MailBar but worth the money if you want this functionality.

great that the developer is on top of this. am on mac os 10.12.4 public beta 4, and the app continues to work. an essential app, for me...

moved to el capitan (public beta), and could not find a working app to give me menubar notification for mail...until i found this one. 'mail satellite' works perfectly here...a good find..
