Turns out BigHairyGoal is A Good Name. Nothing negative about it. In fact, after I understand the name's meaning, and for the well designed application too, I now give 5 STARS! ...but read on.... I was curious about such a name, so I made a visit to the developer's website. Developer provides a more complete explanation of BigHairyGoal: "The term A Big Hairy Audacious Goal is often used to refer to a challenging, ambitious objective". I guessed someone has coined this term. So I did a search and here is the source, Investopedia.com: "A Big Hairy Audacious Goal - is a compelling, long-term goal that is intriguing enough to inspire employees of an organization to take action. The term is abbreviated as BHAG, which is pronounced BEE-HAG. BHAG comes from the 1994 book 'Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies by Jim Collins and Jerry Porras', a result of their study of 18 long-lasting companies. BHAGs are meant to pull people out of a slump and energize them to implement a big-picture-type plan that could take a longer time frame to complete."

black is repulsive. Black background looks scary, and not pleasant at all. In fact, all applications with a back background are reflecting negativity.

The first thing, the app has a horrent icon. The name too.

The app name and icon are very ugly. I will never use such an application.

It is not free. An annual subscription is $17.49 and a "license" is $32. Goodbye BigHairyGoal, hello Scapple. And there is no mention of the price on the homepage for the app or the FAQ page *or* on the Mac App Store page. It just says "supports in-app purchases". So you can't know the price unless you download it and run it. No thank you.

Seems to be really nice app. However it is not free. So why is it in the free apps section?

Six stars for choice of name alone.

In order to use the app you have to sign up for a subscription @ $17.49/year, and have 2 weeks to cancel before they charge your iTunes account. Too bad, it looked very promising from the description given, but with a "gotcha" before you even try it? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. ZERO stars.

This app isn't free! One needs an subscription to use all features.

The developer is just an asshole and a deceiver, when I downloaded this application but did not use it, I wrote to the developer asking for a new version (I still wanted to try before buying and just pay $ 15 for what I would not try) or let him give a discount, the developer gave a coupon for a subscription that was automatically activated for a completely different application and I just had money. I do not recommend

Downloaded the trial from the dev's site. Very promising! Like the similar app 'Scapple' imho this is the future of mindmapping / brainstorming apps. Love the easyness of changing connections/arrows. And the grouping possibility. Feature suggestions: - Changing font/style of selected cards all at once. - Copying by dragging with 'Alt' and copy/paste under right-click - Export of text as rtf. So, a brainstorming session first, after which one can process the results into a text file. - Locking a card or a group of cards on their spot.

This is the best name I've ever seen for an app. You win.
