Loopster is an audio player that lets you adjust your music's speed without changing its pitch or modify its pitch without altering the speed. Practice, rehearse, and transcribe your music with unprecedented efficiency. Add loops and locators to focus in on important song sections, and save your songs in helpful playlists.

Version 1.2:
  • Place and modify the current playback position by clicking onto the waveform.
  • Switch or modify locator positions with the mouse.
  • Modify loop start and loop end positions with the mouse.
  • Drag and drop multiple files from iTunes (e.g., all files of an iTunes playlist) or from Finder to add them to the current playlist.
  • Export audio files with modified tempo and pitch for playback on any device without time and pitch modification capabilities.
  • Volume slider (also set volume via MIDI controller)

Interesting minimalist UI with no Menu commands at all. But it does the job rather well. The ability to loop continuously over a chosen section of a music file at reduced tempo but unaltered pitch is invaluable for transcribing purposes. Very promising programme.
