Gmail for the desktop.

Overview

MailPop for Gmail puts your Gmail inbox right on your desktop. We love Gmail as much as you do. That's why we created MailPop for Gmail. It's the simplest, most fluid way to access your Gmail account.

After launching MailPop, all it takes is a single click on its menu bar icon (or keyboard shortcut) to access your Gmail account in a jiffy. Want to write an email instead? All it takes is a right-click on the icon (or keyboard shortcut) to open a new message window!

Features:

  • Inbox shortcut: (or click on the menu bar icon) to quickly open MailPop's window.
  • Compose shortcut: (or right click on the menu bar icon) to quickly open a new message window, complete with a Media Browser for quickly dragging-and-dropping attachments!
  • Clear and informative notifications: Menu bar icon notification color graphic and numeric (number of unread messages)
  • Start at login
  • Show at login
Upgrade to the full version (MailPop PRO for Gmail) for more awesome features including:
  • Full desktop view mode with chat and fullscreen
  • Full tablet view mode and fullscreen: Ours is the first Mac app to ever do this
  • OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and Growl notifications
  • Ability to make MailPop as your system-wide default mail app
  • Opacity control
  • No advertisements

Nice but it seems that there is a problem under Yosemite 10 10 2 ! When I use MailPop, it 'freezes' the right side of the desktop ! It's impossible to directly rename or drag and drop a file located on that side. When I quit MailPop, it works again. Then...

It works great on 10.8.2 but on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 It is Impossible to show the screen in full. It partially shows the screen and then I can't get it back. I finally had to trash it.

I went to support@binarybakery.com and it said use the links on the left to email me but there was nothing on the left at all. Look I think you misunderstood me.I know that there is no Full Screen available. BUT in Snow Leopard there is ONLY a PARTIAL screen not enough of a screen to put in my email and password. But in 10.8.2 there is no problem.

Does the Pro version handle multiple gmail accounts? Without multiple accounts, it would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks for your comment. We've been getting quite a few requests for this feature. Good thing is that we're already working on including it in the PRO version soon.
