Sorry, V 9.0.2115.0 good approaches, but ...
No support for GPS or geotagging. (also nothing in the Manual???)
Changes in the meta tags are not written directly into the images, only in the library.
Automatic transfer of face recognition in keywords is missing ...
If images are on a NAS, this must be on and active in the OSX.
Several crashes in different jobs
The editor stumbles to himself
There are still open works ... but ~ 100 $?

Cyberlink keeps very high prices for its media software (like EUR 120 for DVD player) and it is not different with PhotoDirector 5 (EUR 100). It's their only Mac app, but I am not sure it will catch wider attention among OS X users. At least not in its current incarnation.
For a start it looks very impressive (except it crashed on a first run) with nice dark UI and plenty of controls. It can't browse folders of photos, as they have to be "imported" first, however pics can stay in its places on hard disk.
Well, and then I found a problem: every single photo in library and editor is dispayed wrong: it is just way too dark! When I open same JPG in Preview and then in PhotoDirector I get something like 1/4th of blacks cut out in histogram on the second. I never ever seen something like this in other app.
I am sure it could be very nice app with all glitches (stability, color correction problem) polished. But first it need new price - something like EUR 29-39. Otherwise you should me mad to spend EUR 30 more than cost of Apple Aperture on Cyberlink solution.
