Although I think it's great to see what discontinued apps once existed, I'd say a big fat "not available" stamp would be rather helpful for everyone.

Definitely recommend. Stable, fast, easy to use, finds everything. I just wish you could name the images according to the title of the page they were downloaded from. If it had naming options I would give it 5 stars.

Highly recommended. I have used Pandora ever since John created it years ago. I recently downloaded and tried all other image grabbing software available for Mac OS X. Some were okay, some didn't work well but I found none exceeded the nice way Pandora just works - easy to use and collects the stuff I want. Also Pandora's demo version is nice because it allows you to try it and not watermark the images you download. Thank you John.

Excellent tool for finding pics and graphics that I use in my work. I used to get the "Google blocking" message as well, but found that the problem was with my ISP and not with Google nor Pandora. I do not get the message anymore and often make multiple searches at the same time. Really cool to use!

Indispensable tool for dedicated pr0n hounds. Apple should buy this app and incorporate it into Safari's "Private Browsing" feature.

Google blocked my mac and told me I was making to many request using this app. I have deleted.

Product and support excellent. Pandora makes collecting images from the world wide web easy. I have looked at other software but Pandora seems unique in it's ease of use and successful image collecting. My special interest is in studying and learning to identify animals and plants. Pandora has allowed me to collect hundreds of images scattered about the internet to help this learning process. Over the years I have worked with Pandora (from it's creation as NetScrape) and developer John's support has been excellent. As an example: a recent issue with the Google engine refusing to deliver was responded to immediately by John and corrected in a day with an update released in 4 days. Apparently version 2.6.3 is current (NOT 2.6.4), since this download, as well as both the application checking itself for updates and the developers website give 2.6.3 as the current version.

I don't understand... I had tried this app last year and I thought it was quite good and had my boss purchase it for the agency. I have not used it since... and just tried it agin for myself.. and whatever search I do.. I get ZERO result.. yet the preferences seem to be set up ok... is there a Snow Leopard issue here ?

Works a treat! Just like to say that the developer has been very responsive, courteous and helpful with the two problems I've had - one before purchase and one after.

Not bad at all and really quick. I'd love to have a button "Open URL in default browser" next to the URL in WebPage mode. That would make it easy to browse further images on a particular site with the default browser, that are not related to the Pandora query and bookmark them if required.

Having tried other search applications with varying results, I've found Pandora to be the absolute nirvana of media collection software: it pulls down an amazing number of files, the beautiful interface is refreshingly intuitive while quickly displaying results in a very easy-to-peruse format. I like how it will continue to find pictures until you stop it. Now a very important tool that I use daily in my multimedia design job at a huge communications corporation, Pandora is a great brainstorming tool for stimulating ideas by entering keywords - and is a great way to follow design trends by ''seeing what's out there.' Pandora has been well worth the money by a very responsive developer.

Watson is another option but it's legacy software and it's not a universal binary.

Previous version 1.0.0.2 works fine. The new version just wont open and will crash. So, try the old version if you want to use, until they come out with a more stable version.

Why such restrictive demo capabilities? Only 5 full screen images per session? Can't save pictures? I want to fully test drive software, not get anoyed. Come on, ease off a bit. $20 is a whole lot of money. Expect people to show you the money, then give them a little more room to breath and play, and let them find out if they really need and like your software in their daily routine. When you play nice and people have a nice feeling about an app and the developer, cash will flow, my friend. Selling software is about giving people a good feeling. A demo period without restrictions feels a whole lot better. And don't do those 3 days demo periods. I like developers who give me enough time to think and play with their apps. Give us room, man.

Netscrape 1.6.1 works quite good. I have only tried to use the keywords image download, and pictures comes down in the hundreds. Great! Much faster than using any search engine, where you have to check all links your self, find the picture/s, and then manually download them. - Running osX 10.3.5 on a slow BW G3 350 MHz. This comes in very handy at this time, when the Apple Sherlock Image search is down (not functioning).

Funny, 'cause this app worked well when it first came out in the pre-Panther days. I even sent a mail congratulating the developer. Unfortunately things have fallen to bits. Nothing is displayed at all. Have just deleted it from my Mac and back to using Safari's Sogudi plug in.
