What's new in version 7.0

Version 7.0.0 adds MPE support with per-note pitch bend, pressure and timbre routed into the mod matrix, a Sequencer arpeggiator mode with step recording and MIDI export, a new Super 7+ unison mode based on the JP-8000 supersaw, an 8x oversampling engine with a rebuilt decimator, Draft Playback, and live modulation display across the panel.

MPE Support
  • Per-note pitch bend, pressure and timbre available as mod matrix sources
  • MPE Mode, Zone and Pitch Bend Range settings in the MIDI menu
  • RPN parsing for MPE Configuration Messages and per-channel bend range
  • Polyphonic aftertouch mode as an alternative to MPE
  • Status pills for MTS-ESP, MPE and Poly AT in the Global panel
  • Added Brightness (CC74) as a modulation source in the mod matrix
  • MPE, Poly AT, zone and bend range now save per instance in the plugin state, so two instances in a project can use different settings and loading a project never overwrites the global default
  • The arpeggiator is shown as unavailable while MPE is on, since member-channel notes bypass it to keep their per-note expression
Sequencer Mode
  • New SEQUENCER arpeggiator mode turning the VEL lane into a 12 semitone note grid above C4, drawn over a piano grid with shaded accidental rows
  • Held keys transpose the whole pattern from the lowest key; M1 and M2 keep their modulation bars
  • Three triggers: seq hold runs while a key is held, seq toggle latches until the same key is pressed again, and seq sync holds a new key until the loop wraps so re-pitching never breaks the pattern mid-bar
  • Stopping under seq sync is quantized to the end of the bar, so the sequence finishes on its last cell; pressing again before the wrap cancels it
  • Record arms a step cursor driven from MIDI in: C4-B4 write a semitone, C3 ties, D3 rests and E3 steps back
  • Export MIDI writes the pattern as a one-bar loop with ties merged into held notes, M1 and M2 as CC22 and CC23, and host tempo and time signature in a leading tempo track
  • Generate Sequence builds a playable bassline: one scale per take, a groove template, the root on the downbeat, mostly stepwise motion and a resolution at the end of the bar
  • Playhead drawn in white in sequencer mode so it reads against the note squares
Super 7+ Unison Mode
  • New Super 7+ option in the Unison Voices dropdown with a JP-8000-style mix law
  • Per-saw stereo panning with a Unison Panning Spread control
  • Level matches Super 7 at zero spread and rises to the JP-8000 curve at maximum
Oversampling and Draft Playback
  • Engine now runs at 8x instead of 4x
  • Offline bounces use a linear-phase FIR with reported latency; realtime keeps the zero-latency path
  • Removed the Bounce Quality option, both paths are now unconditional
  • New Draft Playback option in the Mode dropdown, shown as a status pill and kept across sessions
  • Draft Playback halves the oversampling factor while auditioning, at the cost of the top octave of alias rejection, and applies to realtime only so offline bounces always render at the full factor
  • New 1:2 interpolator for 88.2 and 96kHz, unity to within 0.008dB from DC to 19kHz with images 139dB down
Modulation Display
  • Live modulation shown on knobs that previously had no indicator
  • Envelope stage progress displayed on the ADSR knobs
  • Live modulation on the detune knobs and unison panning
  • Unison pan shows each super saw voice as a glowing dot
Preset and MIDI Handling
  • Rewritten Synth1 preset importer with fixed silent oscillators
  • Added File > Import Synth1 Folder, creating one bank per selected folder named after it
  • Rewritten JP-8000/8080 preset converter and SysEx parser
  • Fixed the combine mode that silenced the second oscillator on most imported presets
  • JP-8000/8080 import no longer clobbers oscillator sync when ring modulation is off
  • Added Scala tuning import and export, compatible with MTS-ESP and other .scl tools
  • Bank list rescans the Banks directory when opened, so folders added while running appear without a restart
  • Added a velocity curve option to keep the curve across presets
  • Added a polyphony option to keep the voice count across presets, stored in Corona.settings so it survives a restart
  • Grouped MIDI board file actions under a File submenu in the MIDI menu
  • Updated MIDI CC labels and CSV
Interface
  • Transpose dropdown grouped by octaves and semitones
  • Polyphony and transpose dropdowns trimmed to musical values
  • Limiter meter no longer wobbles while the button image moves
  • Arpeggiator menu regrouped, with a separator between rename/store/reload and cut/copy/paste, and Record above Generate Sequence
  • Reduced interface CPU use by rebuilding knob and slider value texts only when the value they show changes, and by resolving the knobs driven by modulation indicators once instead of searching for them on every refresh
Fixes
  • Delay keeps the time when switching between sync and milliseconds
  • Offline bounces render at full polyphony
  • Fixed the version check parser for multi-digit minor versions
  • Fixed a dropped sample on odd buffer sizes in draft playback, which let synth time drift ahead of the host
  • Fixed the reported latency of the decimator at 4x and in draft mode
  • Fixed LFO frequency readouts not switching between Hertz and ticks when the LFO mode changes
  • The arpeggiator pattern now restarts from step 1 on preset and arpeggio changes, and the song-position re-sync only runs under the trigger it belongs to
  • Fixed a crash when switching to Random or As Played with a latched sequence, and stuck notes left by keys held across a trigger or mode change
  • Fixed All Notes Off sending on the wrong channel, which left latched sequences sounding
