In the past, I’ve tried to accomplish these things with Bento (unsatisfactory), Contactizer Express (now abandonware), or even putting stuff in the Notes section of Address Book entries, where neither text formatting or even spell-checking is supported. . The dev, who’s busily working on an iPad version, is very responsive and dedicated.
