DAQ Plot overview

DAQ Plot is a simple to use strip chart application which plots electrical signals and controls devices in realtime using digital output channels and built-in feedback control loops. Use the screw connectors on the accompanying data acquisition hardware to attach sensor wires and watch the signals graph in realtime. It's that easy. Voltage is displayed in a real-time strip chart fashion.

What’s new in version 12.9.5

Version 12.9.5:
  • Tables load faster and show textual data much faster.
  • All graphics are further optimized so that drawing and transitioning to different axes representations is much faster. However, twice the "blink of an eye" is still a "blink of an eye"
  • The save data and open data is now fixed. There was a regression in the previous release where data would have to be saved twice and opened twice to get it to work. This does effect the backup data buffer and only applies to the Open and Save sheet
  • Incorporates a half-year's worth of optimizations and errata from the previous release
  • General bug fixes

I've been using DAQplot for a 24/7 telemetry application since 2009. The math transforms on the data allow me to present time-domain waveforms with different filtering, and I use its jpeg updater with an Automator script to post plot updates to a website. Two features would improve DAQplot for me: - The spectral plot should have a semilog option for the frequency axis - this is an unusual omission for a plotting package. - In the derived data definitions, it would be nice to have a more straightforward way of adding low and high-pass filtering, by specifying filter corner frequencies and rolloff in dB/decade. I'm very happy with DAQplot - it's an indispensable tool.
