For years I have used powerful but little known search utilities on my Mac, like Copernic and a whole mess of Meta Search tools. This has for a long time helped me gain a competitive advantage in my business and has confounded others how I dug up info and do my research. Over time my choice core of apps and search utils has grown a little "long in the tooth", so I needed an injection of newer alternatives, hopefully more useful and easier to use. Grand Reporter was an unexpected joy to find and just what the doctor ordered. After one day of use I have already gotten my moneys worth out of it. Mac users should/could test out the limited trial demo version, then if/when you dig it enough, look through Mac Update Promo Daily Discounts to get the Grand Reporter 1.1.7 discount while its here. You should'nt be disappointed! I thank them greatly for the turn on! BTW: Please take a moment to print out and study the GrandReporter PDF User's Guide to master effective use. Good luck and happy computing to you, enjoy!.

There is no better program! It's that simple. Straight forward, simple, gives results ... helps make my living. I'll recommend this app to anyone who needs to make some sort of coverage tracking - most sincerely. /// Support is also working well.

I've been experimenting with GR for the last day or so, wanting to see how it works. Pros: the "native" 3 pane view, including a view of the web page, easy configuration of first queries, regular updating of queries. Cons: no "activity/progress window" to show that a query is being refreshed, no re-sizing of main window - it's all or nothing, weak query support (though I may be wrong on this, still experimenting.) It's probably worth the price, but it has an unfinished feel, and without some kind of progress window, you have no way to know that its working.

Strange replying to my own post. Its like talking to yourself which I hope I;m not. Things with Grand Reporter were going along fine and dandy until thinking I was being diligent casually upgraded GR. it never worked again and seemed to be no quick fixes. In the subsequent months I have lost my momentum and use of a tool that until that timeI had come to rely on as essential to my productivity mix. I also upgraded to MacOS X Lion around the same time, so I am still trying to get back to full function. I'll be happy when this is resolved or at least explained.

I already own DevonAgent but this is simpler to use in many ways.. and since I search for many many things on the net I'm adding this to my toolbox.
