Acceptable image file formats: BMP, GIF, JP2, JPEG, MacPaint, PDF, Photoshop, PICT, PNG, QuickTime Image, SGI, TGA, TIFF and so on ( supported types by Cocoa; these differ depending on OS X version)

  • Output image file format: JPEG or PNG
  • Resize mode: width, height, fit, crop, area, ratio
  • Margin, watermark adding feature
  • Image resolution (DPI) adjusting feature
You can use Th-MakerX as a simple image resize tool or a simple JPEG/PNG converter.

What’s new in version 4.5.1

  • Bug fix: When the margin is "specified by mount size", the drawing of the peripheral part of the resized image may be disturbed.

This is the best. Apple Preview hangs when resizing 24 Gig worth of images. Resize 1.6, ImageOptim and the Apple-supplied terminal command "sips" all don´t respect image orientation. With this one you don´t end up with suddenly rotated images. Apply ImageOptim afterwards for additional savings. I got 9% extra. Only one drawback: leaves lots of small invisible ".-" files after processing.

Love this! One of many useful features is ability to create a matt around the image.

Fantastic app. I've just download it again for new mountain lion imac having used it for years on previous (recently deceased) snow leopard imac. Easy to use, nice range of basic options, works flawlessly. Great if you want to generate a lot of proofs or images for the web.
