What's new in IntelliJ IDEA

Version 2019.2.4:
  • IntelliJ IDEA 2019.2.4, an important bug-fix update is now available!
  • This minor release adds the option to choose how a compiler will treat a dedicated annotation processor path: as an ordinary classpath or as a module-path containing annotation processor classes packaged into JPMS-aware jars. For the module-path option, go to File | Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | Compiler | Annotation Processors, specify the processor path, and select Use --processor-module-path compiler option (for Java 9 and later)
Other important updates include:
  • Improved “safe write” mode and the original file permissions are kept intact.
  • Fixed JavaFX Scene Builder integration.
  • Fixed debugging issues with Gradle parallel execution enabled.
  • Resolved the jbr/bin/java Access Denied error in IDE updates.
JBR 11 was updated to 11.0.4+10-b304.77. Notable changes:
  • Fixed opening projects on macOS Catalina
  • Fixed font rendering in text fields on macOS Catalina

Fantastic product for Web programming; I'm using the Javascript, Coffeescript, and Jade support, and it's such a productivity booster, especially with the way the on-the-fly code analysis (i.e., lint) works. Would not be without it.

I had to change the "/Applications/IntelliJ IDEA 13 CE.app/Contents/Info.plist" JVMVersion from 1.6* to 1.7* in order to have the Community Edition running under JDK 1.7 (64bit). See more here: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/entries/23455956-Selecting-the-JDK-version-the-IDE-will-run-under

Just switch from Eclipse to Intellij IDEA. Why? The IDE uses the available space o your screen much better than Eclipse does - try Eclipse on a 13" MacBook .... Fantatistic features, really speedy ... best IDE I know. And, I use the ultimate version. Good invested money.

I don't understand why MacUpdate has this listed as "Demo $199.00". It's free! I use the CE (community edition) professionally, and it's the BEST Java IDE out there. You can pay extra to get additional features, but that's OPTIONAL. The free version is an amazing, fully-featured professional IDE that kicks Netbeans & Eclipse's butts (IMO)!

How come this begin one of the best IDEA and platform-independent IDE's have not been updated on this site for a long time. The current running version is 11.0.2. Hopefully it will get updated and will get some discounts for it.
