Disksomnia overview

Disksomnia periodically writes a file to keep any local disk awake, including those that stubbornly ignore Energy Saver preferences.

Waiting for sleeping disks to wake up can be a frustrating experience for DJs, video/audio editors, musicians, and motion graphics designers who frequently work with media files located on multiple disks.

Might be interested at 1.99 but not at 9.99. Looking at other alternatives/options. Don't have a problem paying a small fee to dev but I believe 9.99 for this is too expensive.

also requires Final Cut (Express or Pro) Question: could this be modified so that it would serve the function of keeping attached drives from sleeping without the need for running/install of Final Cut? Thereby making it more generic, for folks who would like external drives to stay awake but have not Final Cut?
