Create folders in colors with flags and animals and more.

Overview

Folder Forge is an application that lets you create colored folders. New folders are available including flags, colors and animals etc. Impress your friends with colors, or maybe hide some files from your family, friends or colleagues using invisible folders.

Colored folders have many uses, e.g., file sorting, or simply to give your computer that extra personality.

You need to know that if you have owned a previous copy, you have to purchase it NEW at the app store. I had to. The creators of this app said that the App Store makes it that way, yet many other software manufacturers are making sure that you can upgrade to the current version through them BEFORE having to pay. Also, there is a thread on the Apple forums that DISPUTE the fact that Apple MAKES them follow that guideline. I was not happy to repurchase the program and I think someone is not being honest here.

This is a splendid App and it's fun creating new and colorful folders. I love this app. I'm a Graphic Artist and enjoy the variety of embellished folders. Helps me keep track of thousands of images more easily. I rate Folder Forge a 5. Would like to see more larger sized folders.

A limited functionality demo will almost never get my money. It merely irritates me because I can't really judge the software. Did the developer show off the good stuff and hide the bugs? That's my suspicion. Give me a week or two with the entire program and I can judge. This program gets my two thumbs down.

This is what I hate about the app store. You could buy it from the dev for $7US but now you have to buy it from the app store for $9AUD. A 28% mark-up for what? My motto is "If it's only on the App Store, I'm not buying it."

For those who sometimes think to themselves... wouldn't it be nice, if I had a horse or a butterfly adorning that downloads folder ? Well, finally for those who do mutter those strange noises, harbor those bewilderingly odd notions - this should work wonders for them.

The edges of the flag folders were a bit sloppy and I have fixed them up in the newest version (not released yet). I have also added a few more folders (131) that you can create. All will be revealed in due time.

Interesting program, but the icons are a bit ragged. Still no Canadian flag either.

Doesn't work with my 10.5.2 Leopard on PowerBook. Launches, but after clicking a folder you hear ongoing copy-sounds but nothing happens and you have to force quit. NOT GOOD!

This would be pretty awesome as a service and if it had the ability to accept user created custom folders & labels.

Nice idea and appreciate app being free...but, the resulting icons are not drawn cleanly. The edges are sloppily done.
