Screensavers use video from iSight or other compatible camera.

Overview

iSight Screensavers is a collection of screensavers that use video from an iSight or other QuickTime compatible camera to morph fluid, create fire, or otherwise interact in fun and highly visual ways.

Features:

  • Particles - Create magical looking brightly colored particles wherever you move
  • Champagne - Immerse yourself in a champagne world and watch as bubbles appear all over you
  • Fire - Set yourself or your desktop on fire - in a painless kind of way!
  • Water - Ripples appear wherever you move
  • Flipping Grid - Can you get all of the squares to flip over together?
  • Core Image - Over 30 configurable effects using powerful core image filters

Are these screen savers "FREE" like is advertised on MacUpdate.com, or are we just being tricked yet again into downloading and trying someones software, only to find out that we have to pay for it to take away some of its "crappiness?" If it's free, then say it's free; if not, then say so up front! Does MacUpdate condone this practice or is it something beyond its control?

Fluid, Fire, Particles, and Champagne are the best screensavers by far. In fact, I find it hard not to waste time playing with them. It would be great to have the option to choose ones favorite modules and have them cycle through periodically. I for one would be willing to fork over some $ for those options.

After going off on a rant about free and then receiving a very prompt response from the developer it seems the least you could do is give a positive review (4-5 stars) for the product. After all you did say they were free, fun, and worth improving; how about putting your money (your stars) where your mouth is, so to speak.

Even with the (New in 1.3) "Core Image" effect it's still not worth the $10 Don't waste your money.

I can't help wondering if the developer might have misstepped in limiting this product to people willing to pay $10 for screen savers. I have to guess this is a fairly small market.

Very cool effects. The kids will get a kick out this when I start it up for them. Great work. Worked flawlessly on my MacIntel - 17" iMac Dual Core running OSX 10.4.10(11) and all the latest Apple updates.
