Manage websites in iWeb.

Overview

Multisite for iWeb is a Mac OS X utility for users of iWeb. Whether you need to build 2 or 200 sites Multisite makes iWeb even better. First of all it keeps iWeb uncluttered by focusing it on just the site you want to work with. It also speeds up iWeb since iWeb no longer has to keep every site in the same data file. This way, when you edit or publish, iWeb just works on the site you want rather than every site each time. This helps to reduce memory usage and improve load and save times too.

Multisite Features:

  • Build multiple websites with iWeb. Set the current site and all the details are taken care of for you.
  • Create, duplicate, or delete entire sites.
  • Import and export entire sites.
  • Easily move sites between people and computers.
  • Support for iWeb '09, '08 and also iWeb 1.1.2.
  • Fully functional demo.
  • Searchable Apple help from the help menu.

*cough cough* get RapidWeaver... iWeb is no longer supported by Apple and will soon be buried. As for this app, it's nothing more than a simplification plugin, it shouldn't really be $20. iWeb is $20!! Welcome to scamville, folks. You've just met the mayor.

Heh, interesting. iWeb can make wonderful templates for *even* RapidWeaver Neploleppard. But seriously, RapidWeaver is not even a worthwhile tool if you're putting iWeb down here bub. Further, there has been no final word that iWeb is no longer supported by Apple. Many believe that the discontinuation of their web service hosting is a discontinuation of iWeb proper, but I do not believe that Apple has made this point clear as of yet. And yes, this is coming from someone who is in very high end professional web dev and design and startup work, so I'm not speaking out of my butt.

We're excited to have just shipped version 2.5.1. It's the 12th release since Multisite's debut back in 2007 and we're still supporting three major releases of Mac OS X along with all major releases of iWeb. We keep getting feedback and each release of the app is better than the previous one. It's been a lot of fun developing Multisite. Thanks everyone.

I have just downloaded the test version of Multiweb and I have one question that the documentation does not answer... I already had a website in Iweb, but I can't import the site in Multiweb nor use it directly in iWeb. I must do something wrong... Can you tell me what? Best regards, Henry

Maybe worth $5. Definitely not $20. Also, iWebsites does the same for free.

After struggling to figure out a way to publish and host two different sites on iWeb to two different places, I did a web search and found Multisite. I downloaded the demo and within a couple minutes had it installed and was able to use it to manage multiple sites in iWeb, publishing one to a folder to upload to my work server, and published the other to my .mac account. I immediately purchased it. Much easier than having to locate, rename, and move files manually. It's main feature is allowing management of multiple sites in iWeb without having iWeb publish ALL sites to the same place every time. Ridiculously easy to use. Great price for a product that eliminates a lot of frustration. Have had no problems at all with it, functions perfectly with OS X and iWeb.

I tried iwebsites which is free and felt really dumb because it kept "bouncing me back" to the same.. website, or at least what seemd to be.. I must have done smthg wrong... then I tried this.. and it is straightforward.. very much so.. just what I was looking for in the first place... so I guess I'll pay for this lol
