No problem: Just go ahead and create a media repository on a network server and put an alias in your "My MediaCentral" folder that refers to the content. MediaCentral will recognize the aliases and play the files - wherever they are stored.

The MU provided like to Equinux USA now goes to tvproapp dot de where I see no mention of MediaCantral. But the site is in German.
I do still find the Equinox dot com / us page active and again no mention of MediaCentral.. When I look at the various links they redirect to the tcproapp site.
Unsupported for 3 years but now MC appears to be discontinued. I use it instead of Plex as MC handles basic backup rips of DVDs to Video_TS folders. MC supports all the menus and chapter skips where Plex does not.
Good news is I did just get a newer MacMini, installed Sierra and MC still activated and runs. Yea.

This is a awful app. I got this in a bundle from MacHeist along with several other apps I really have no use for. It only lets you install on one Mac. If you want to install on another Mac you have to take your password off the one you are presently using. Since most of my library is in my iMac and I used my MacBook Air to install this software,I took it off the Macbook Air and transferred the Registration to my iMac. Well the registration says it is wrong and I tried to go back and put in the registration to My MacBook Air and it says it is the wrong password. Now I have to wait until they open up on Monday.(it is Saturday)The whole app is wrong.I don't like the GUI .The arrangement is poor. XBMC is better as well as Plex. I really don't know why they don't let you put the darn thing on all the Macs you own. This is a real loser!

No sorting, search, random or repeat. Completely a mess.
Background music continues after you've chosen media to play.

"Stutters along", "Has a few bugs"? What's this software like 9 years old? Its still "got a few bugs"? And they're charging for this?
Ditch this junk and go with Plex...its free and does EVERYTHING flawlessly, NO BUGS!
