I don't write many reviews, but Kitty Spangles Solitaire (KSS) deserves one. It's an excellent solitaire game with all the major games including Klondike, Freecell, and Spider with plenty of variations for each. It's graphics are nice, and the window resizes brilliantly. It auto-saves your game, so you can quit any time and come back whenever. The statistics are neat. I've (supposedly) played over 200 hours. It's nice that some game variations are longer than others. Basic instructions are included in-game for each variation. Autocompletion works as intended and saves you a bunch of "housework" when you've essentially already won. It updates via Sparkle too. Annoyances: the time counts down even when KSS isn't the active window, only one card style (cartoonish, would prefer one or two more to choose from in the preferences), and wish the new hand button and keyboard shortcut would display a (optional) warning. Definitely worth the cost. Hours of solid entertainment, way more than those silly arcade games (e.g., Bejeweled). Casual Mac gaming at its finest. I just wish they made a Hearts game too. Two thumbs up!

I purchased Kitty Spangles a few years ago and use it regularly. I bought a new MacBook Pro a few weeks ago and as I have lost my original receipt, I don't have my serial number. I sent a message to Swoop a couple of nights ago, in fact two messages and haven't had a reply. They say that if you don't get a reply, check your junk mail. I have and there is nothing there. I despair on getting a response and don't want to pay out again. I'm disappointed with the administration. It is however a good app.

Been playing Treecard's excellent SolSuite on my Mac using VMWare Fusion and Windows because it's so good. I finally eliminated the need to virtualize Windows just for solitaire. Kitty Spangles Solitaire is nearly perfect, though I don't like Kitty's card moving or dealing sounds and wish I could adjust the animation speed of the cards (e.g. when autoplaying them, dealing, or after I win a game). Got this game for $4.99 on Apple's AppStore so I'm very pleased, best solitaire suite on the Mac. Thanks!

I really would like to be able to stretch the window and have the game scale to fill it. Why am I limited to such a small resolution, especially today? Still fantastic, but it needs to scale to larger screen resolutions better.

Ran it today, only to be told my License key is out of date! I was going to play while waiting for another lengthy process to complete and was on a different account on my machine and didn't have access to email. Obtaining a new license online, it get emailed to you. To put it simply, time restricted licenses [censored]!

I apologise for the hassle, but time-restricted licenses are a business necessity. Without them, we wouldn't publish at all. (Been there, done that.) We have a very liberal policy regarding our licenses, and seek to make it easy for our customers to use Kitty on any of their personal macs without cross-transfer fees or similar silliness. We're trying to improve our licensing systems, and make the process faster and more transparent. It's important to note here that the license itself is NOT time-restricted. Once you purchase a license, you can freely renew it, and install Kitty on any of your personal Macs, at any time. An individual Serial Number, however, may need to be renewed, for free.

3.5.6 to 3.9.6 and still no improvements to scoring and statistics deficits i was told were forthcoming. Uniform scoring of wins isn't appropriate for all games. Golf should score how close you get to winning, not just wins, which are seldom. Montana is very difficult to win though strategy plays a fair part. I've usually seen it scored with a count of cards (not entirely satisfactory either since difficulty increases as the game progresses) or a sum of the values of all cards moved to correct positions. It just seems ridiculous that it keeps stats such as "longest winning streak" on games where odds of winning may be 1 in 100.

Belay that last comment!! After trying repeatedly, the disk image which wouldn't mount previously, now mounted. (It must have noticed that I had posted a comment ;-) . Go figure!)

With a name like "Kitty Spangles" i thought it was going to be nauseatingly cute. It's not. This is one of the most clean, simple, polished UI's i've seen. A couple of cartoon characters on the face cards are of no consequence. I like the lack of so-called "vegas scoring". Needs a few minor tweaks to winning and scoring info, but NOT to the appearance or function. .

Excellent game... I love finding games like this which are so polished. Now it has all the game variations, I think that addresses a previous commenters concern (I play tons of Sea Towers).
