Anxious to put this new ecto version to good use and know a lot of others are, too!

This app was never fully updated for Snow Leopard, and now here we are with Lion about to be released. I gave up on this app back in late 2009... WAJ....

I won’t recommend ecto anymore. Sad, but true.

The biggest problem I have with this software, and it's HUGE, is that it keeps deleting parts of my posts! UNBELIEVABLE, but true. I discovered it when I went back to my latest entry, and found the last half was missing. At first I thought it was human error ... maybe I had deleted part by mistake. Thankfully I had a backup, and I replaced it. Then, I noticed after I saved the post, that the last half was missing again in the preview window! In HTML code, the last half was just not there. I pasted it back, in HTML mode this time, with all the proper tags. It did it again. Sometimes it would delete a longer or shorter portion. Sometimes, if I didn't edit the file, and clicked on and off the entry, it would reappear ... only to be partially deleted when I opened to edit. Then I looked back through old entries, which happen to include important and personal blog entries, that many of them were partially missing. It was like the app had shot holes in my life story for the last several years. Believe me, I was not happy.
If you value your data, do not buy this version! You may never recover it. I am reporting on version 3.0.2.
I am currently switching over to MacJournal, which unfortunately it not as elegant in some ways, but seems much more polished and is better supported.

I wish there was Bring more competition out there, but unfortunately nothing beats Ecto, which is even more frustrating.

1/ 3.0 hasn't been bugfixed in over a year. And there's a serious data loss bug that was reported pre-version three that was NEVER FIXED. See this forum entry: 'Draft Post Wiped (3.0b44)' at http://is.gd/6PSW6
I emailed them about this bug days ago and never heard back. And I can't get on the forums (below).
2/ Older Ecto users are not allowed on their forums to report issues, even tho' we're licensed users. And as others have said, all emails to support are ignored.
Ecto's a great app, getting long in tooth, but if Illuminex doesn't work on support and bugfixes, it's going to be 'formerly' a great app really quick. 4-5 stars for the app as it is now. -1 for not fixing a serious, documented bug and another -1 for unresponsive support.

I've tried using the alternative access point provided in the ecto forums, and resetting my password, but no luck!
