Unfortunately this used to be good software but now it's not being supported and randomly stops working whenever Brain Juice's servers go down.
DO NO BUY!

I hope they get there sh*t together and release an update though.

While I generally like Blogo and found it superior to MarEdit when I trial=tested both side-by-side, it is of concern that Blogo/Brainjuice seem to have stopped updating their blog, publishing fixes to problems like the one with Twitter and do not answer mail to the support address. Even if (best scenario) they are feverishly working on a revision for the AppStore it has the appearance (worst scenario) they are going (or have gone) out of business. That the website came back after a few days is encouraging - someone must still be on the job - but I wouldn't recommend anyone pay for this software at this time.
I agree with your recommendation regarding purchase at this time.
They are also deleting comments on there blog.
Don't buy (for now, at least).

It's too bad because it used to be especially useful software - now useless.

I have asked them to fix it when it was consuming 12% and they got it down to 6% but I still find that unacceptable. It appears to be a ruby based application and maybe it the problem is the ruby based apps are not ready for prime time.

Two specific examples:
1. I still have more control over placing pictures in text using Blogger's web-based editor than I do in Blogo. A paid, Mac-native app like Blogo should offer me picture placement on par with Pages, not sub-par to a web editor. The present system is both unintuitive and awkward, with unpredictable results.
2. I want to use proper quotes (curled) and real apostrophes by default. No way to do this in Blogo. Something THIS basic should not be missing in a program that is at least part word processor.
