v208.0.0.9.229 is out. But: IT IS A 💯% FAILURE. You can get it to update. But you can't get it to actually work. It does sit&spin all day long, completely WORTHLESS. Don't bother. Meanwhile, Meta has made using Messenger inside FacePlantBook a PITA. Keep refreshing the page and maybe the POS will decide to work, for awhile. Then... ist kaputt until you refresh some more. And yes, this fits perfectly into the ongoing trend of coding degradation post COVID. Sad. 😒💩

This app really needs an email / password login option instead of the grayed-out boxes that appear. This would then allow users to login to their accounts.

Caprine was becoming annoying. Dark mode quit working and a few other minor glitches. Messenger does all that I'm looking for. Just lacks menu bar option.

No need to use proprietary facebook software in 2020. Use Open Source signal, xmpp (beagle, monal) or rocket chat. There are many open alternatives.
