Reduced presenter role permissions: This feature introduces a toggle in the Teams Admin Center to reduce presenter role permissions in untrusted environments, such as EDU, where students assigned as presenters could remove other students from the meeting. The reduced presenter permissions are only reserved for organizers and coorganizers.
Hide general channel: Similar to other channels, now you'll be able to hide general channels from your teams and have a cleaner left rail.
Simplified team and channel create: This feature lets you create channels from the teams and channels list. This new experience will promote creation of channels from the + button, in addition to team context menu and manage team> channels page. Users will be able to host channels by selecting the appropriate team. This experience will only be available in the new Teams app.
Simplified team create: You can now create teams with a shorter and simpler approach! We made it a simpler default experience for users to create teams from scratch, with 80% of users utilizing “create teams from scratch” option. Users will still be able to use the other options of creating team from templates and groups as a secondary view. This experience will only be available in the new Teams app.
3P eCDN support for premium town halls: This flag enables the admins to allow organizers with teams premium license to turn off the usage of Microsoft eCDN and let them use the configured 3P eCDNs for their town halls.
Duplicate webinar or town hall: Creating events from scratch takes time. Now, organizers can use an already created webinar or town hall to jump start scheduling of another event.

Ugh. Now that Microsoft has for the moment sorted out their "high demand" problem, they've instigated having to suffer THREE (3) web pages of "Download" buttons, the first two of which DON'T DOWNLOAD. This is the definition of USER HOSTILITY. And angry comment posts like this one are the obvious result. And this software itself remains USER HOSTILE. It has to be lead-in-the-water. I get the idea the obtuse thinking of late across the world has a lot to do with lead-in-the-water. It certainly MAKES NO SENSE. *grr!* (o_0)

How bad does Microsoft SUCK? Bad enough to pull utter BS at their MU linked website for downloading Microsoft Teams. Without Exception: The victim is dumped to an idiot page that dares say: "Thank you for your patience. We are currently experiencing high demand. Please wait and try again later." <--THAT garbage is UNACCEPTABLE. It's a simple DOWNLOAD for yuck's sake. [Expletives withheld]. No wonder I give this annoying app 1 star.

Windows junk bought to the Mac. 1. the ONLY way you can get this App to open on log in is to use the Apps preference, adding it to your start up items (ie the Mac way) does NOTHING. 2. If you close the main window, the App is still running, but you can NOT do anything, you can NOT reopen the main window. The ONLY solution is to quit Teams and restart it. This is extremely poor behaviour for any Mac App.

It turned out that somehow "Microsoft Teams Classic" updates itself. It got around to it, with sputters, and I found I had the new version. Trust MS to make an obscure mess. I wish I didn't have to use this thing. But it DID update itself, somehow.

Considering the years Microsoft has had to improve Microsoft Teams, it's astounding how clunky and dysfunctional it is, as if it's betaware. As is sadly standard, organizations want to trust it for conference calling because it's Microsoft. And as usual, that means it doesn't follow GUI standards, does everything the Microsoft way, which means remarkably chaotic and again dysfunctional. I want to give it one star, but it is possible to get it to work. Whether it's actually secure, I have to wonder. It is Microsoft, after all. (0_o)

Really wish that when I read "What's new in Microsoft Teams," it would say "Fixed the longstanding CPU issue. Your computer will no longer enter vapor lock in the middle of an important meeting." One can wish, I suppose.

It's so disappointing, in this day and age of remote learning and working from home, that Miicrosoft Teams is such a cludgy piece of software. The Office apps and Todo are all Mac native and are much improved, but I only use Teams because I'm forced to by my work environment.

I cannot express how much I detest MS Teams. Horrible, unreliable, capricious, ugly, sluggish, battery-hogging, overcomplicated, bloated piece of garbage. No fast user switching! Hangs all the time, often cant even force-quit. The iOS version is much better as it's a native app. This is a browser wrapper for a web-based app which is why it's so bad. For an app that is so central to the MS universe it is unforgivable to fob us off with this pathetic apology for an app. Even though my corporate environment forces me to use it I bought a licence for zoom instead.

Never had an application before which drains you battery this much. As soon as a teams meeting is started your fan starts blowing without stopping and your macbook heats up. 1,5 hour later (macbook pro 16") you battery is dead.
