Seems to work fine for a beta. It doesn't come with antivirus defs, so you can't start auto protect until you do that. They don't mention that. Also, the Safari tool bar doesn't work. It does work in Firefox however, and takes up too much space, since it has the logo and a safe search window. I liked the old green bar better.
This is not new, and they haven't stopped making Mac antivirus software. I've been using this for a couple of years now since I got it for free from Comcast. I saw they were using it at Sony Music when I was freelancing there so I gave it a try. It works fine. Symantec has a history of second-guessing.
If they can't even keep THEIR download center organized, what are they going to do to MY Mac?
IMHO: They are not serious about serving Mac users, just toying around.
