I wasn't sure this program would meet my needs. I have a catering company that works with television production companies. A friend suggested that I check it out.
I previously was using an Excel spreadsheet to do my invoices (not very professional). Now I can track the payment status of each invoice, automatically load the client info into new invoices and save my recurring invoices as templates that can be converted into actual invoices. I haven't been using it long enough to check out the reports, but I'm sure they will make my accountant happy.
Thanks for the free update. Still enjoy using the program every day. I do wish the iPhone layouts were easier to manage. The screen is so small that I have trouble seeing some of the info.
The iPad layouts are no problem. The new close window icons are a definite improvement.
I also wish there was way to re-arrange the invoice line item order.
Don't let the interface trolls mislead you. This program truly rocks.
I have been using PAID since 2005, and I could not do without it. As a director of photography with over 20 years in the business, this software allows me to track my clients and jobs in addition to generating fantastic looking invoices and reports.
It gets better with every release and the developer is incredibly responsive to improvements and fixes.
Well... if you want eye-candy, I'm sure there are other options. For Invoicing, I personally wanted an app that allowed me to DO something rather important (keep track of my invoices, who's paid, who hasn't, etc.) rather than LOOK AT something nice. The bottom line for me was functionality, not appearance.
Over the last few years I've tried many demos, and purchased at least two Invoicing apps (very nice-looking ones, by the way) that I've eventually ditched. Since finding PAID I haven't looked back. It's extremely well thought-out, and has allowed me to stay incredibly well organized. I even like the interface! Why? Because the app works so well.
