It looks like a year later Mac platform will be full of useless $1-apps for every single task. People! It's not an iPhone, it's Mac!

I agree. There is now a surfeit of apps for every single purpose. Mobile apps are all the thing, of course, but development of those cumbersome applications for the dinosaurs amongst us who still love our Macs has taken a big hit in recent years. I have nothing personally against ToDo Plus. But seriously, what's point?

I agree, and moreover, so many of these don't provide anything like a demo. At best, I might be offered a money-back guarantee, which I'm not about to trust with any developer. (At the least, the time-consuming nature of it all isn't worth the hassle.) So, now it's "pay your money and take your chances." Not for me.
