Fuse-ext2 is a multi OS FUSE module to mount ext2 and ext3 file system devices and/or images with read write support.

What's New

Version 0.0.7:
  • get device volume name in probe stage. now diskutil shows volume name on device bar, as a result device mount point is created as '/Volumes/${volume_name}'.
  • supports mac osx 10.6 in compatibility mode.

Works fine for reading Ext3 using 10.7.4 I hope someone will enhance it with Ext4.

Working nicely for me on 10.6, but not happy with the latest MacFuse (2.1.5) on 10.5. I'm not sure why 0.0.7 is being shown as new, as it was released Dec. 24, 2009...

Probably because it's new to macupdate, but you´re right, 0.0.7 is not new.
BTW people, if you want to support fuse-ext2, which is an excellent "product" really, consider donating to the project. When i did, i was apparently the first one to do so, which is kind of depressing really. It's no obligation, but it sure helps to keep these kind of projects alive.
