No, neither do I save data, nor do I sell them! Use Little Snitch if you do not believe me. It will confirm that my application never tries to connect to any server.

i am not in a rush to try this app.
i know EXACTLY how much i spent at app store( i don't need an app to guess the amount)--quite a lot actually because the app store EMAILS ME RECEIPTS!
i am also a little nervous about how this 'free' app is MONETIZED. i mean after the developers go through your itunes files and get this sort of information about you, WHERE ELSE DOES IT GO?
do they sell it to admob, google etc.?

i would love to hear the developers response to my question. thanks!

Great little app (and shocking result) whith one exception.

It seems to use the apps current price and not the price that I paid when I bought it though. I've bought or downloaded many apps when they where temporarily free or on sale which makes my totel quite inacurate, but I guess there's no way around that(?).

You can edit the price of an app by clicking onto the "Edit price"-icon in the toolbar of the "Apps..."-window. This is currently the only way around.

Yes, I noticed the problem of reporting the current price as well, and it makes the app basically worthless. And editing the price is a poor suggestion, if I have to do that I have to keep track of what I spent myself, so why do I need the app?

To BLM: With the App Store's constantly changing prices how do you expect the dev. to write an App that would be able to go back and see how much you paid for the App when you bought it? You would have to reveal too much privacy information for that to happen don't you see?

Any chance you could add a menu item to export the current list of apps and prices to a CSV text file?

I would love to be able to put this data into a spreadsheet or database to have a searchable list of what apps I currently own. I own way more than can fit on my iPhone so that list is super important to me.

Otherwise a great app!

That feature will beat the crap out of using iTunes to "Print too a PDF file" the list of applications, then copy and paste the list to a text file.

Oops, wrote too soon. I am having crashes whenever selecting an item, the app crashes. I will get my log later and email you the info. Thank you, still... just a bump. I am running leopard 10.5.7 up to date on an intel, early 08.

I can't have spent that much......Oh, OK I have.

Saw the total in my menu bar and was shocked. It's handy that it shows you what you have bought, and what was free. Cool little app, even if it's only a one shot wonder every now and again.

Thanks Wetfish, I really like the app. I agree with Bill though,having the true value of how much you've spent is a definite especially since some are given away at ridiculously cheap prices or for free even. Manually entering prices will have to do. I really can't think of another way around the price problem, maybe an applescript of a sort tied into itunes...

Pretty cool but it seems to base the number on the application's current price in the app store, not taking sale prices into account. Developer, please comment if I am mistaken.

You're right. The application trys to use the sale price, but iTunes do not always keep the file with this information. So it has to use the current price, if it can't find the old price. But I'm currently working on an update, which allows you, to edit the price of an app. If you still remember the price of an app you bought, you can use it to refine the calculation of the total amount of money.
