Discontinued? Migrate to MixMeister BPM (free) at mixmeister.com. Much better!

The download is now working, but I cannot get this program to work on OSX 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.1.1. I can run the program and the window shown above works, and I can click on the "Start" button (which changes it to saying "Reset"), but no other key has an effect (and some of them beep at me).

I've upgraded(?) to snow leopard and am now using v2 of this awesome piece of manual bpm finder software. see my previous review for some details. i'd like to add this... the bad thing about EVERY automatic bpm finder out there is that they don't always get every track correct. and i include dead straight bpm techno tracks, not serato, tracktor, ableton... trust me, i've used many of them. so you end up with a load of tracks with the wrong information. no good to me. the absolutely cool point point about ltjBPM is that you know your bpm is correct because you did it yourself. open itunes, play a playlist of stuff you want to bpm, open ltjbpm, stay on the ltjbpm program... tap the full stop in time with the beat, do it for as long as you want but minimum 8 beats, when you're happy hit semi-colon, this will add that bpm to that track, next hit apostrophe to go to the next track, start tapping the full stop again (if the track starts beatless tap the right bracket to skip forward. do it again. do it again. Anyway, it seems to be down, the website, right now... i hope it comes back, and he charges a fiver, because it's great.

Excellent. I'd rather use this than an automated analyser. It's still the best manual bpm application. i don't think there is a better one. i have used all, or at least nearly all, even if it is in ppc. (1.2 version not 2, 2 requires 10.5, i'm on 10.4). the automated ones just do not deliver good results, unless the track is already dead straight - ie electronica at 4/4 tempos 70 to 160 bpm.

I have used 1.2 extensively. It's the best workflow ever for measuring bpm. Unfortunately, the keyboard commands only beep for me, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any body help me? Jon
