It is useful to have this app for dynamic pages (PHP or whatever) that you are running on a Mac with an internal IP address. But it is by no means a full-featured program.

My only gripe is that I wish it would save window settings (ie. window size and location).
Thanks for the great work!

but underneath that is a local copy of the W3C Validator (and supporting libs and modules), running inside a simulated CGI environment.
The setup is somewhat like a Dashboard Widget, in that the UI is mostly HTML, with scripts and libraries doing the work.
The goal of Validator S.A.C. is to "port" the W3C Validator as cleanly and simply as possible.
If you're interested in the details, take a look at the source, which is included with every copy (select Help > Show Source Code).

It would be great if XML and CSS files could be checked through the same application too.

It works like a web page embedded in a window though. But for what it does, it does it quite well. Maybe adding an address bar would help with those times when it seems to have gone to a page that doesn't have the address bar displayed.
