I layout a magazine and this in conjunction with Output Factory makes my life MUCH easier. I also got InPreflight with my bundle.. but must admit I did not use it yet. In any case.. if you do any kind of InDesign work that goes beyond leaflets, posters etc.. Zevrix got you covered!

It works! And it does it real fast. Linkoptimizer saves a lot of time and is custumisable to my needs. Can't all this be done manually? Yes it can but I rather spent my time on something more usefull like playing World of Warcraft.

If your're using InDesing a lot you really should give it a try. Also see the Q&A section of de Zevrix website for some more details.

5 stars for developers support.

Awesome! I tried the demo with a 7.3Gb job in InDesign containing 126 links. LinkOptimizer optimized the files to 2Gb in about 20 minutes (including backup of original files and applying slight sharpen mask to optimized images). Pretty impressive! In fact, Link Optimizer was faster doing that than InDesign packaging the job for DVD burning. I'm now convinced that LinkOptimizer is an invaluable tool for our design studio.

This product is magic.

It does exactly what it claims to do, and fast.

Not only that, but the developer contacted me within hours when I reported a "bug" (which turned out to be a problem with InDesign finding graphic files but not updating file-path information for the links, despite a change to a folder name), and kept contacting me until the problem was resolved.

Even if you used this only as a calculator for effective resolution it would be amazing. That it can then optimize images to that resolution automatically makes it a must-have, especially for those producing print-ready InDesign files.

Highly recommended.

Can you elaborate on how the LinkOptimizer effective resolution report is $65 better than the effective resolution readouts already built into the InDesign CS2 Info palette and preflight module? Or are you using CS?
