Resumen de Synergy
Synergy coloca tres botones para controlar iTunes en tu barra de menú: pista anterior, pista siguiente y reproducir/pausar; así como proporcionarte retroalimentación visual sobre la canción que se está reproduciendo actualmente.
Los controles de Synergy, junto con la capacidad de controlar iTunes a través de combinaciones de teclas de acceso rápido en todo el sistema, significan que Synergy proporciona la forma más rápida de saltar entre canciones al usar el teclado o el mouse; todo esto sin tener que cambiar a iTunes o acceder a su menú Dock.

Does not launch on 10.13.1 with iTunes 12.7.1. Bummer. I think it's finally done. Any idea on a similar application? I suppose I could make FastScripts do this…

For anyone who might still be following this thread, Synergy seems to be working again in the latest iteration of iTunes (12.6). In fact, I have another program that I also used to use with iTunes that hasn't worked in ages, and it's now working again as well.

I have been using this app for many years, and it's been very helpful! I can instantly call a "floater" to see song name, album, album art, artist, and star rating, and use keyboard shortcuts to quickly change star rating on the fly. The app is fairly robust and highly customizable.
Unfortunately, since updating to Mac OSX 10.11, the floater no longer displays any information, and the menu bar controls don't display properly. This pretty much renders it useless.
Since the last Synergy update (6.0a4) was in June 2016 (2 years before this review), I worry that it is no longer supported. It was good while it lasted...

Anyone having issues with Last.fm? I just realized that it hasn't been submitting scrobbles at all. I have my account info entered, but Synergy doesn't show up as an Application with privileges on my profile in Last.fm.
