HideMe is a system utility which lets you hide any files/folders on your Mac. It stores these files' references in a list protected by a password you choose, to prevent anyone from seeing them.

Version 1.12 adds an option to make files visible before when deleting them from the main list
I used HideMe 1.12 to render a particularly stubborn folder visible. The said folder was made invisible using File Buddy 7.5 under Jaguar about a month ago, but the same utility wouldn't work making the folder visible again. Tried other utilities, too, but none seemed to work: they'd change the visibility bundle (?) but the folder still wouldn't be visible in Finder windows.
HideMe worked, by opening a Finder window showing the contects of the folder. Moving up one level, it also showed the now visible folder. I'm aware that the other programs not working might have something to do with a system (Panther) quirk/problem on my computer, but still, this little utility saved my ass (or at least 6.6 GB of personal, un-backed-up work).
Otherwise, I appreciate the program's small size, as well as the ability to create a listing of folders I might have hidden - making folders invisible and then forgetting about them has happened before…
All in all, small, simple, sweet and (so far) stable.
I love this program but have a big problem! I am unable to register because I get a message that the "recipient is unable to receive payment." I've also tried emaiing the deveoper but it was undeliverable. Is this guy still around? Any suggestions on how to get the code so the app. doesn't expire in the next few days? Any one else have this problem? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks!
