Remember those ball-and-wooden-stick models of molecules from chemistry class? In Atomic Bonds your goal is to build molecules by placing atoms into the game board. Every atom you place will have a number of empty charges that must be filled by linking it to other atoms. Once there are no more empty charges on a molecule, it vanishes and you get points for it.
That's easy enough, but there are a host of options to increase the challenge and the points you score. You can race a clock that speeds up every time you succeed, you can attempt to remove existing atoms, or you can try to build the largest molecules you can. If you still want
