Obsolete; only uses old US measurement units and cannot be used in the rest of the world with standard international metric measurements! Will check again in a few years to see if it is catching up.

This software looks like a very good recipe program but the problem I am having with the demo version is I can't get it to work on my system. I have sent a great deal of email to the developer but I HAVE NOT been able to get the DEMO version to work. The main thing I need is to see if it will work with my printer and see if and how it will print index cards. Until I see if will work with my system ( desktop Mac and Printer) I can't purchase it although I would love to so my question is this. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why the software doesn't work?

The software works just fine, and there are sample recipe printouts as PDFs you can view/print on our web site to see what printed recipes look like. Our option was to have a Demo version that is not time limited, but sorry, printing is disabled in the demo version.

The trial version was a bit too limited but I liked what I saw with the layout and sample recipe listing & searching. I took the gamble and registered it. LOVE IT! I wanted this only for my own recipes, so I deleted the 1,000 recipes it came with and now I have a nice system to save my recipes and view them on my iPhone. This is exactly what I was looking for.

This is a strange comment because this software doesn't use measurements at all. You enter in anything you want into the ingredients section, US or metric. Did you review a different product by mistake?

Ingredients are entered into the program any way you'd like. There's no requirement for any strict formatting of ingredients. You can use the metric system, or any system. :)

I bought the 3.5 version of this software a couple of years ago. I really liked it, but suddenly last fall my password didn't work anymore. I've emailed the owner repeatedly and received no response. I'm leery about purchasing software online when I can't even receive a tech response about the first version I owned. Its my understanding that he reset passwords because they were being giving away for free in forums. I don't know if this is what happened to my original version or not, and since I haven't received a response, I guess I'll never know. Its very frustrating and is the reason why I leery about buying software online in the first place. If something goes wrong you don't have a disk or anything to reboot.

On start-up, you are presented with a dialog box asking for the password. It says to leave blank for limited access. That's the limited access. It quits at that. Tried a couple times and saw nothing of the program other than a password entry dialog box.

Try clicking "OK" instead of "Cancel." I figured this out in about 5 seconds.

Very nice new look! I haven't tried the new features, but I've downloaded the preview version, and it looks very professional.

Excellent graphics, and rock solid under Mac OSX and OS 9. I've tried out lots of recipe programs for the Mac, and this one is my fav. The mail in registration option of $15 is a great price. Very nice!!
