This is the worst of the worst. It got installed somehow when I installed TrashIt 4.0. TrashIt works fine, but this 24U Appearance OSAX things causes disturbances and unwanted popups in several other applications as an error notification. I don't know how to get rid of it. The installer has no uninstaller and I wasted a lot of time combing through the devlopers website trying to find out how to uninstall all it's parts. How can a free utility (TrashIt!) include a component that has to be paid for, and worse really hard to get rid of? Why isn't thera ny mention of how to uninstall it or why didn't the developer include an uninstaller? I think that's kind of arrogant.

YOu can find the 24U OSAX in your Home folder / Library / Scripting Additions. Other applications put their versions of an OSAX in there also, so you might want to clean house. Just be careful with what you remove as some apps won't work without them!

We're sorry for your inconvenience. Unfortunately this is TrashIt's developer's responsibility. However, I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Scripts that need to ask user for some data or decision can use it to display nice looking dialogs with a lot of different fields and options. Scripts running in background, such as maintenance and installation scripts, folder actions, or Unix shell scripts, can use AppleScript to display messages in floating windows or post standard system notifications. Automator workflows can use the included automator actions to indicate progress using nice looking floating progress bars.
