Web Site Maestro for Mac

I am thoroughly pleased with the performance and results of Web Site Maestro! It does everything they say it will and the results are fantastic! Also, the support as truly exceptional!

I have to say that as a website designer/developer this is perhaps the best money I have ever spent on a piece of software for my craft. It does EXACTLY what it says it does without any choking on all of the various javascript libraries I use which is not the case with some of the other products I've tried in this category. I generally get anywhere from a 25 to 50 per cent improvement in the speed of my sites and with Google recently making page load speed a factor in page rank, Web Site Maestro has become even more valuable to me. At any rate, give the demo a spin, you'll be quickly ordering yourself a license. Congrats to Ton for this invaluable piece of software.

Web Site Maestro is an extraordinary piece of software that does an excellent job of optimizing code and images to make sites load NOTICEABLY faster. The synchronize feature is probably my favorite--just like it sounds, it will look at both the local copy of the site AND the copy on the server and make sure that they are identical--deleting old files from the server and updating it with new ones. After using WSM for so long, I forget what an incredible feature this is, and it truly saves incalculable time. It also supports multiple websites, so I can determine the FTP settings for each website's server (along with how much I want images optimized, what files to exclude from syncing-for instance, if I have folders on the server that are not actually part of my website, like a folder with music files in it, I can tell WSM to ignore it and it won't delete the folder when it syncs-, etc), and WSM will remember all the login data and seamlessly optimize and upload each site. But I'm not only going to write a review about this piece of software; I'm going to write one about its developer. Ton Brand is a true genius. Whenever I have a problem, I shoot him an email, and within HOURS I get a response with the solution. Not only that, but if there's a feature I want/need, he literally writes that feature into the software and releases it as a new version. Like, the release notes for 2 or 3 updates have literally only included those features that I requested--within DAYS of requesting them. I mean, I truly don't know how costumer support can get any better than that. Ton is also a great, friendly guy, and it's been a pleasure getting to know him through my support emails (when does that ever happen?!). Keep up the unbelievable work, Ton!

Ton Brand is someone who has not only created a super-efficient software tool for optimising all aspects of your website before uploading it but also, provides first-class customer support. In fact, the support he offers goes way above and beyond the ‘norm'; it is not only technically spot-on, but geared to the level of his customer- in my case, to someone with no computer know-how. Ton spent a great deal of time guiding me through various processes in order to help me out of sticky situations I had got myself into through my lack of experience. And he didn't limit his advice to office hours either- such was his wish to help ! Web Site Maestro has always worked efficiently and thoroughly for me, in both optimising and uploading, and has streamlined my site so that it loads fast in all browsers. It is also extremely reasonably priced. I have no hesitation in recommending both the product, and the developer !

This latest version of Web Site Maestro arrived just in time for me to test it out while transferring some of my websites to a new hosting account. The interface has been simplified and the new features for sorting files and handling non optimized ones are a bonus. Newcomers to this application will find it a lot easier to familiarize themselves with it. They can use the "help" tags to begin with and then disengage them in preferences once they get to know it. The biggest plus for me was the increase in upload speed which made transferring all my sites go a lot quicker.
