SerialTool for Mac
Serial Port Software for Mac OS.
SerialTool is the result of years of development and implementation of functionalities in the use of the COM port.
SerialTool is the most advanced serial port software ever made for macOS. It allows handling multiple COM ports simultaneously and offers a wide range of features, including logging, monitoring, and scripting with Python.
It supports the Modbus protocol and much more!
Ideal for professional users, it provides logging functions and timed multiple packet sending for intensive application stress tests.
SerialTool is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
This version is a significant update that fixes critical bugs, introduces new features, and enhances the speed of the Graphical User Interface.
Implemented a File Hex Editor: This integrated utility in SerialTool allows you to create or modify files using a powerful Hexadecimal editor. This new tool is extremely useful when working with serial ports, enabling the editing of chunks of hexadecimal code. It is a fully-featured professional Hex Editor capable of handling large files (GBs) with ease. For free users of SerialTool, there are limitations on file size and the ability to save created or modified files. This tool can also be used as standalone software for working with binary files.
The Hex View for serial traffic has been completely rewritten to allow seamless integration with console serial traffic without any slowdown, unlike previous versions. You can now view a full Hex and ASCII dump of the serial port traffic (inbound and outbound) on the same screen, with different colors for each type of traffic, all stored in memory. There is no longer a need to periodically delete the Hex View for data traffic. It is also possible to ignore inbound and outbound colors and select a specific color for each byte to facilitate quicker identification during logging. This new Hex View also allows each byte (when selected) to be displayed with all its encodings, such as Hexadecimal, Decimal, Octal, Binary, ASCII, and UTF-8. You can also set the number of bytes per row. Right-clicking on the Hex view allows you to easily search for strings or bytes in different formats and export the selected area in various ASCII and HEX formats. This is one of the biggest improvements since the first release of SerialTool. Some limitations are applied to free users, such as Hex View scrolling and search options.
Improved stability and overall speed when receiving and sending data through the serial port.
