Hide My Bar overview
Hide My Bar allows you to turn off the Touch Bar at will. Just double press a key to hide and disable the Touch Bar in an instant and start focusing on your work. Double press again and it's right back up.
Hide My Bar also allows you to quickly switch between your regular Control Strip and the Function Keys (F1, F2, ...). It's incredibly smooth to use.

Version: 1.7.2
I was surprised to learn that MacOS doesn't include built-in functionality to hide the touch bar, but thankfully I discovered the Hide My Bar app, which works perfectly and is very reasonably priced. It was an instant purchase for me.
