This is probably for advanced users, but Eclecticlight is a goldmine of free apps to manage your OS, your files, etc. This one explores the unknown world of "extended attributes": as for now, I can only see one use, stripping the quarantine flag from downloaded files (or from an entire folder/drive) to avoid the warning message in the Finder when you open them, and some issues that arose since Mojave. Pratique and Sandstrip are 2 other interesting utilities by Eclecticlight, specifically dedicated to strip quarantine flags. I also recommend Lockrattler and Silentknight, which deals with other security aspects of the OS.
