FreeMaker is really freeware (download and to use), NONE crippleware, donationware, subscription-model etc. A very good choice to "microsaft". It's time to kick.

It's Ok. Despite what others have commented it is crippleware. Here is a comparison with the paid versions: https://www.softmaker.com/en/comparison-freeoffice-softmaker-office Still $30 a year isn't bad.

Downloaded it, looks nice with options for dark screen and some other viewing options. Variety of many tools. Played only few minutes, so far what I've noticed is that the tools are spread all over the place. Overall looks attractive.

A great addition to these apps would be keyboard input -- actually being able to type something in so it appears in the document. Right now, I'm pressing all the keys on the keyboard and nothing is appearing. Other than that, this shows promise with some nice features (that I can only visually see without being able to input any information, of course.) Uninstalled for now, will keep an eye out for updates in the future.
