VidPaw for Mac

This version offers no features. Calling it "free" is useless, you have to pay for the version that does anything. This listing is basically spam.

VidPaw is basically adware/nerfware for a paid "upgrade" (a completely separate app) called Vidhunter. Tellingly, Vidhunter is not listed on MacUpdate. Cost is $19.95 for a "one year" license, $29.95 for a "single user" (one Mac!) license, or $49.95 for a family license. Product may or may not work as advertised, was immediately turned off by sales pitch and bait-and-switch tactic. ZERO STARS kids.

I have not used or download any of their software but have researched them. Other than marketing info, they offer absolutely no information as to company location, governance, addresses, phone numbers, etc. The only contact information they proved is a single email address to support. Even their privacy policies offer no hit as to who their are or where they are located. A browser search reveals no other information about them, other than their products. This makes me very suspicious about the company and what they may be trying to hide. As such I choose not to download or use any of their products, given the amount of cybercrime in the world today. I personally like to know exactly who I am dealing with and where they are located before I consider using a product.
