Advanced Safari tab management app.

Overview

SessionRestore is an advanced Safari tab management App Extension.

Are you the kind of person who keeps numerous Safari tabs open, with the intent of reading them later?

SessionRestore is here to help. Save your browsing session, close all windows then start with a fresh session. It's super easy to restore a session whenever you need it. Easily store any number of sessions with a quick button press. You can name sessions, and provide custom notes - so you don't forget why you saved it in the first place! It's possible to remove unneeded tabs or windows from saved sessions. You may also want to combine sessions. This is easy in SessionRestore's powerful dedicated session editor.

You backup your computer often, (well.. you should be) and now you can easily do the same with your browser tabs using SessionRestore. Who needs clumsy bookmarks - Go one step further, and save groups of tabs for instant retrieval anytime. Built with the latest technologies, and integrated right in to Safari as an Extension, SessionRestore can help streamline how you manage and recall important websites.

Features:
  • Safari browsing session save and restore
  • Fully configurable Autosave for peace of mind
  • Full session editing
  • Session metadata search (name/urls/notes)
  • Session screenshots for easy identification
  • Lightweight and Quick native Safari App Extension
  • Minimal Intuitive UI
  • Import sessions from deprecated Safari Extensions "SessionRestore" and "Sessions"

What's new in SessionRestore

After two days of intense use I came to the conclusion that it's an essential tool for my studies and purchased it. As far as I understand the developer is very responsive although I haven't yet had any occasion to contact with him personally. If you use Safari as your primary browser and have many sessions to take care of then look no further. Beautifully crafted and very useful. Fariborz AMIRSHAHI - Verona (Italy)

Useful app, but it consistently fails to open all of my tabs, so I"ve frequently got to run it a second time to get to them.

Hello. Why can't I see the actual session content with this like in the old Session extension? I have to open the app and then open the tabs to see what the sessions contain. And the browser extension shows just dates (and icons). Do I miss something? BTW 50% space of the browser extension window is wasted IMHO ;) Everything else is great, it even imported my old Session sessions. Thanks

Great app however I've stopped using Safari as of version 13 and continued with Chrome. It would be awesome if SessionRestore would also work with Chrome or any other MacOS supported browser (just like Cookie does).

How does this compare to the beloved Sessions extension (https://sessions-extension.github.io/Sessions/) that we all cherished so much before Apple decided to kill it off? Can we import Sessions' history that we exported from it before it no longer worked? Does this have all its features?

To the developer: Hello. Please let me know how I can DELETE sites/sessions I no longer need. It's strange but I couldn't find out how it's done. Thanks.

Wow, we have a diligent developer here... Version 1.1 with my wish "auto-save" is already out! ?

It looks great for an initial release and a lot like a more modern version of the old Extension “Sessions” that I used to like a lot back those days. But there is one vital feature missing for me: Autosave Sessions. Here’s a picture. https://soundsupport.biz/2013/11/17/use-sessions-to-save-and-restore-web-pages-in-safari/ If the developer could add some preferences like, save every x minutes, keep x saves (so it doesn’t grow too big), ect. Since nobody knows, when Safari is going to crash the next time, manual saving is not save enough. I would use it more to protect my research of many windows and many tabs in case of a crash. More than I would actually use different sessions. If the developer could add this feature, I am all in... :-)
