Graphical Traceroute Software.

PingPlotter helps solve network problems. It's a network diagnostic tool that graphs latency and packet loss between your computer and a target. Visualizing the information accelerates your troubleshooting process and helps build a case if you ever need to convince someone a problem exists on their end.

  • Access through web browser: The web interface broadcasts PingPlotter across the web. It's useful for sharing information and managing the program remotely.
  • As many targets as you need: PingPlotter Pro tests hundreds of targets at once. Summary graphs are available for organizing targets and assessing performance at a glance.
  • Test from another device's perspective: Remote agents ping from locations beyond your computer so you can analyze network performance over multiple locations.
  • Select your network interface card: Directly control which network cards PingPlotter Pro uses for any trace. Compare multiple network connections in real time, test primary and secondary NICs in parallel, and monitor multi-NIC servers.
  • View jitter graph: Jitter is the amount of variation in latency/response time, in milliseconds. The metric is useful when troubleshooting VoIP and other streaming services.
  • See network performance history: Timelines graph latency and packet loss history. In PingPlotter Standard, timelines hold as much time as you need and can be opened for any hop.
  • Automatically run in the background: Running as a service launches PingPlotter when your machine starts up. From there, the program starts tracing and continues even if you log out.

What's new in PingPlotter

Version 5.18.1:
  • Improved web exception ticket error reporting
  • Selecting Add to new summary from the context menu now redirects to the new summary
  • Summary screens now sort by target name by default
  • When stopping a target/trace, PingPlotter now unselects that target in the control panel & alert sidebar
  • Resizing timegraphs via the splitter now adjusts the graph sizes more quickly
  • Added “Pause” indicator on summary graphs to show targets that are paused
  • Updated “Agent Offline” icon and made it display in both the Agent column of summary screens and above timegraphs
  • Removed some superfluous scroll bars
  • Other minor tweaks and UI improvements
  • Fixed CloudConnect Agent functionality on Windows 7
  • Fixed ability to add new targets to a summary if you have Target Management permissions, but not Summary Management permissions (now is allowed)
  • Fixed several control panel oddities when selecting targets in the summary (Agent, settings now follow correctly)
  • Sorting the Status column on summaries now sorts correctly (by average latency/color)
  • Latency graphs on the summary screen no longer flash when sorting by a volatile column
  • Double-clicking a timegraph will now shift focus to your double-click location instead of someplace else...
  • Fixed user search in user editor so it’s not case sensitive and searches any part of the name (not just the beginning)
  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause the target list and Trace Graph to not appear when switching between targets/summaries
Known issues:
  • CloudConnect does not currently support proxies

Did the job, pretty nice UX, wish it had a bit more a smoke-ping effect for the jitter.
