Roadblock for Mac

Amending my review, some of my "visual rules" stop working after a while and need to be reactivated, and the developer didn't respond to my support request. Also, Roadblock seems to be slowing Safari down on some websites. This developer is a DISHONEST, DISREPUTABLE CREEP! He conned me into buying an app I may not have wanted by sending me an apparently phony promo code, laughed at me when I told him I wasn't able to use it, and refused to resend it when I asked (after I had inadvertently deleted it). There are a million other ad blockers out there, many of them free, so if you don't need Roadblock's apparently unique element blocking functionality, don't waste the 10 bucks.

I was adamantly opposed to paying $10 for Roadblock without a trial period, but the dev emailed me screenshots showing how it would deal with one of my situations, so I took the plunge, and I'm pleased as punch to say that it does precisely what I was hoping it would do. It ain't the least bit elegant, it's clunky, and its GUI could be better, but it 's the only replacement for AdBlock's "Block an element on this page" functionality that I've run across, and in that respect, it's MARVELOUS! It's really difficult to evaluate an ad blocker's functionality, so I won't even try, but for the purpose for which I purchased it, it's 10 stars!

December 18th, and Roadblock is, at least for the moment, only $4.99 in the App Store. :)

Roadblock sounds like it's exactly what I'm looking for to replace AdBlock's apparently gone forever "Block an element on this page" functionality, but I'm not about to pay $10 to find out. This developer needs a reality check!

$9.99 for a content blocker that has no trial? You must be kidding. With all the free ones available, a trial is a necessity for me. How is this better than most of the free ones?
