@home is a tiny utility for macOS that keeps your Mac unlocked while you are at home. It knows when you are at home (based on your wireless network name) and prevents your computer from locking the screen. When you are away from home, your normal locking idle times apply.

…Now if there was only a similar utility to keep your user password active for a period of time or while at home so that you would not have to keep entering it when doing file updates and other maintenance tasks.
