Why paying for this (two words) app when you can have the same for FREE with the (one word) app AppCleaner? - The (one word) app AppCleaner is around for FREE since many years and does a great job.

I like to test various applications from time to time on my Mac, and for those I choose to delete, I find that the included uninstaller doesn't entirely clear the footprint, that is IF an uninstaller is even included with the applications I try. This is where using App Cleaner & Uninstaller comes in and does exactly what I need done, which is to remove all traces of the applications throughout. When I've had a question or needed to resolve a licensing issue, the developer is fast, efficient, and polite with a response that always provides the solution I was hoping to receive.

Yeah, why pay for these features? For the 9000th time, AppCleaner, free and well supported, works well. And again, I also use the excellent FREE app EasyFind to find any files, folders, etc. not found by AppCleaner.

Subscription !!!! ...for what ?!! for cleaning ??? ..when there are plenty of applications that do exactly that, cleaning your computer from unnecessary junk and removing application. AppCleaner, TrashMe, Remove-it, Donemax AppRemover, CrapCleaner, and at least 20 more, some free, and others are between $5 to $15 or more. Don't make mistake, all these applications do exactly the same, as this one for $180 for ONE year. For this amount you can get ALL cleaning applications in existence!

Hello! Hope you are fine. There is definitely confusion with the naming here. This product, called App Cleaner & Uninstaller, used to be called App Cleaner (note the space between the p and the C). As I mentioned below, I use the excellent free program App Cleaner (no space), and does the job very well. Not sure why anyone would pay $15 for this product. It might be a good product, but the free program I mentioned is excellent. Thankss

I use the excellent Free app AppCleaner, and it works very well. There are times it does not find every file associated with an app. But for me, no problemo! I just subsequently launch another excellent free app EasyFind, and use it to find any more remaining files. AppCleaner and EasyFind: definitely a winning (and Free!) combination!

Good app. But $15/month for something I use only a few times per year!!?? Ridiculous!! I'll stick with the old "pay once" app as long as I can, then trash it. Give me the updated app for maybe a one-time payment of $5 or I'm done with you.

subscription $15 a year it's pretty much anyone can afford. BUT if we will keep supporting them with this model, then pretty soon other software developers will jump the bandwagon. And so, the aspects of society will follow as well. You'll have no more an option to own a house or a condominium, apartment, a car. Everything will be according to the dystopian ideas of the owners of WEF(world economic forum) - "you will own nothing". There are other better and right options, on the right hand side.

The software does not cost 14.95 once, but annually. Please adjust once for a Mac 34.95 and bye bye nektony. I was a loyal customer and am also willing to double the price with a good deinstallation which costs but without an upgrade path is cheeky. There are too many other tools for that, maybe not better, but free.

There's a version 8 out now. And yes, it's subscription based. Seems this dev also try to leech loyal costumers asking an unfair amount of money every year. Tip: uninstall the app using the FREE CCleaner. Not a trace of the app to be found afterwards....

App Cleaner is competitive. It won't harm your system, although I did find that the old way of indexing the Mail file once rendered the mail app functionless and I couldn't open it anymore. The new settings are similar to CleanMyMac. It's an alternative to Clean My Mac X without the bloat and silly functionality. There is no background monitor eating 65% of your ram like CleanMyMac either. :-)
