What’s new in version 1.4.72

Version 1.4.72:
  • We released a major redesign of the dashboard for individual users. Previously, the dashboard had a lot of empty space. We’ve filled it with useful information, including more information on the number of hours recently worked, as well as summary information from a few of the other reports (Timesheet, Time Use, and Web & App Usage Reports). We like to think that we’ve turned the page that we were calling a "dashboard" into a real dashboard.

The $10 is a monthly fee for the use of the online service. The app is just a gateway. Integration with Teamwork.com is pretty awesome which is what we use as our main project management tool. All your projects and tasks are available in Time Doctor. Lots of other tools integrate as well (all the usual suspects like Basecamp and Asana). It's a big question about whether time savings justifty the morale hit created by close tracking. Time Doctor creators argue persuasively that if you are going to track time and use it as the basis for billings and payroll, real time is the only way to track time accurately. When people's livelihoods depend on it, we owe it to our clients and ourselves to track time accurately. The Pro app lets you browse all of your existing tasks (from Teamwork). You can't create Teamwork tasks though without clicking through. There is a handy little direct link icon fortunately to get back to your task fast.. The Lite app looks better and is easier to use with a great little toggle between new tasks and the last 15 tasks. I'll probably use both.
